SFI Discover Science and Maths Award Winners

This year 620 primary schools from all over Ireland received an SFI Discover Science and Maths Award for their fantastic work in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) as part of the SFI Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme.

Each year we are amazed by the amount of STEM work being carried out in primary schools all over the country. Year after year it is so encouraging to see schools that have really captured a whole school approach to engaging students in science reapplying for successive awards. We are also delighted to see more and more schools that are starting out on this journey with a few of their classes.

To ensure that we continue to recognise all of this effort, the awards are split into two categories:

  • A Certificate of STEM work in School
  • A Plaque of STEM Excellence for deeper engagement, whole school involvement and external science engagement
